Educational Process & Scientific Research

The university has traditionally strong scientific schools in Mathematics, Physics, Medicine, Chemistry, and Foreign Languages. It also conducts advanced research in Medical Microbiology, Pharmacy, Fine Chemistry, Green Infrastructure, Remote Sensing, Pharmaceutical Quality Control, and Engineering Technologies.

  • RUDN actively participates in programs and forums organized by the United Nations, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe. The university also hosts a Comparative Politics Department with UNESCO Chair status, reflecting its strong international position in higher education.
  • The university places strong emphasis on student scientific and research activities. The Students’ Scientific Society includes more than 500 active members from different countries worldwide, and students regularly participate in conferences, scientific competitions, exhibitions, and international forums.
  • RUDN also provides workshops and specialized training programs that help students develop academic research skills, prepare scientific papers and presentations, understand academic ethics, and participate in scientific competitions and research projects.
  • In addition, the university organizes the annual Science Festival, where students present their scientific projects and innovations inside university laboratories. It also offers the “School of Innovative Development,” which provides workshops and lectures on research development, intellectual property protection, and professional project presentation skills.

Admission Requirements

To apply to the university, students are required to prepare the following documents:

• Academic certificate and transcript
• Certificate of recognition/equivalency
• Personal photo

All documents must be translated into Russian and officially notarized or certified by the consulate. Entrance examinations can be completed either online or through personal attendance at the university.
